for 175th Anniversary

 

 

Dear Friends in Christ,

 Greetings to you in this new 2008 year!  We are so excited about this new year because Ursa Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will “Celebrate 175 years of God’s Love”.  To commemorate this milestone and to renew ourselves for future ministry, a very dedicated committee has planned a year long celebration for our anniversary.  We hope that the journey together throughout this upcoming year will provide opportunities to thank God for this church and ministry, rekindle fond memories and friendships, and honor and learn more about our past as we look toward the future of serving Christ together in our community. 

 Each month, we will be celebrating a specific theme where information  concerning the topic will be shared in a variety of ways.  A schedule of our yearly celebration Sunday’s is included in this letter.  You will note that many of our Timothy's and previous pastor’s will be returning to Ursa to share in worship and we look forward to their return.  We would like to invite you to participate in any or all of these special activities. 

There will be much more information sent to everyone about the events of our 175th celebration.  We encourage our members to look in the weekly worship bulletins and monthly newsletters.  Please also look at our church website, www.ursacc.org for the 175th Anniversary page of information and calendar.  We hope that you will make this time even more special for us by joining in the celebration!
